Our Religious Education program at St. Ambrose Parish in Bristol, VT serves youth in kindergarten through tenth grade. Families who are registered in the parish are welcome to sign their children up for classes. Our Classes meet from September to May on Sunday mornings starting with the 8:00am mass, class starts at 9:00am with “coffee hour” in the parish hall and dismisses at 10:30am from classrooms.
All families need to register their children using the registration form below. Please mail it to or drop it off at the parish office.
As with any parish, St. Ambrose relies on volunteers to teach religious education classes. We are always interested in strengthening our volunteer pool. No prior experience is necessary – just the willingness and desire to walk with the youth of our parish on this part of their faith journey. God invites us all to share our gifts and talents with our community – is God asking you to bear witness to the gospel as a catechist? Our Catechists meet regularly to help ensure that the sharing of our faith for all age levels is as effective as it can be. Sacraments Students in grade two prepare to receive two important sacraments – Reconciliation and Holy Eucharist in the second grade. Students must be baptized or show proof of baptism prior to receiving these sacraments. Students who have not received these sacraments and who enter this program after grade two prepare for them, in addition to attending regular classes with their peers. Generally this involves a parent-guided home study; materials are provided. Students in Grades 9 and 10 prepare to receive the Sacrament of Confirmation, which takes place during the tenth grade year. Students must receive Baptism, Reconciliation, and First Holy Eucharist prior to being confirmed. Parent meetings are held for all 2nd and 10th grade parents.
Please note that our religious education pages are password protected to keep our children safe. If you forgot the password please contact Emma.

Our mission is to create a community to support the growth and education of our next generation of Catholics through fellowship, study, service, and activities.
Addison County Catholic Youth Ministry is a place for youth in middle and high school to grow in our faith by creating a community that will strengthen our faith journey. We have middle school nights and high school gatherings – at these events we play games, eat snacks, and then have a discussion about topics relevant to our world. We have been to conferences including Steubenville East and do service in the local community.
