As a new academic year begins I would like to reflect on the question of what it means to be "open" to the truth that we can always learn something new! Growing in knowledge isn’t just for those of you who are students, but for all of us. As I think about this question I think that we have to be "open" in three ways. First, we have to be open to the desire to continue to grow. Second, we need to be open to the fact that we do not have all the answers. And third, we need to be open to the truth that others have something valuable to offer to us. I believe that when someone has this desire, awareness, and trust, regardless of our age, we will see every conversation as a new classroom and we will become better people and a better world.
God’s continued Blessing!
