As you all know, this week people from all over the United States will come together to vote for individuals who are to represent us on the local and State level, as well as a Country. I first want to commend all of the Candidates for the willingness to be a part of the Democratic process. This process is one of the things that makes our Country great. It is a process that we all need to be engaged in to help ensure that our voice is heard.
Now I have a prayer request and that is that we will spend time in prayer between now and Tuesday to pray for two things. First, that we as individuals will vote for the individuals who will be best able to lead our Communities, our State, and our Country in the direction that will help all of us as citizens hold up the values that are most important. Values that help us to see the worth that is within ourselves and in others. The second prayer request I have is that we pray that those who are elected will see the role as one of service. As the Rotary motto goes: Service above Self! May this be everyone’s motto especially those who are elected to serve us.
God’s Continued Peace,
Fr. Yvon J. Royer
