Many of you will be gathering this Thanksgiving with family to share family traditions and to catch up on what is happening in all of your lives. I pray that the time that you have will allow you to remember why family time is so very important. It is time that we should never take for granted. We indeed have a lot to be thankful for.
I do have a prayer request for each of you and that is that as you travel to where you are going, or are preparing for everyone else to arrive, that you say two prayers. First, I think that it would be a good idea to say a prayer for your family gathering so that any hard feelings may be left at the door. Second, I would like all of you to say a prayer for those families who are going to find this Holiday difficult because of some loss or family issues. Let us pray that even in their pain they will be able to experience something within the day for which to be thankful.
God’s continued peace,
Fr. Yvon J. Royer
