On this Valentine Day I want to take a moment to reflect on why the love of a couple is priceless. Now I want you to know that as a child I read the following statement: “Love consist of two vowels, two consonant, and two fools”. I am glad to share that my 25 years of ministry have proven this wrong so many times. My heart sings when I watch couples of all ages coming into the Church holding hands. This simple gesture speaks volumes to me of the connection these two people have as they walk this journey together. I believe that these couples are continuing to realize that true joy is found in remaining close to one another and the fact that they are walking into Church says that as a couple they want to remain close to the Lord as well. This is the day of their marriage being lived all over again. Connected to each other and connected to God. On this day that our Country celebrates love may all of you couples know the joy and happiness of this connection. May your love continue to help my heart sing.
God’s continued peace,
