I do not know about you but I have not walked away from too many Parish meals and not been satisfied and in a good mood. Why is that? This is what I think the answer is: besides the food being wonderful, it does our hearts good to gather with family and friends to break bread together. Parish meals are an opportunity to come together to share in one anothers story. We need to be connected and part of something bigger than ourselves. When we do so we are doing what the early Apostles did. They gathered to share their stories of how Jesus and the Grace of God was working in their lives. Their gathering to share in the meal (the Eucharist) helped give them the strength that they needed to continue to say yes to God's plan. Are you able to find the same strength as you gather with our brothers and sisters in our Eucharistic Celebration? I hope so and I hope that you are able to walk away satisfied in mind, body, and spirit, and in a good mood.
God's continued Blessing! Fr. Yvon
