As I reflect on the celebration of the 4th of July and the freedom that it highlights I would like to take a moment to reflect on two aspects of freedom.
First may we who are truly free never take this freedom for granted. Our freedom allows us to have a say in the direction that our nation goes and the respect that is shown to all people from the unborn to the elderly, from the rich to the poor.
My second point is that we need to pray for those who are not able to celebrate freedom especially those who are not free to celebrate their faith or those who are held captive by one addiction or another. Let us pray hard for our brothers and sisters for all deserve to be free. God's continued Peace, Fr. Yvon
