Greetings from Italy! I would love to be able to tell you that everything is off to a great start but that would be a lie. It is more like a comedy of errors. I finally arrived at my destination on Wednesday evening at 8:30 when I began the process on Tuesday in the afternoon. I still don’t have my luggage, but the weather is good. Things can only improve. I still find it hard to believe that after all of the planning and preparing that I am actually here in Italy beginning my Sabbatical. The word that comes to mind is grateful. I am grateful for everyone who has wished me well letting me know that they will be praying for me. You can never have too many prayers. But I am extremely grateful for all of those individuals who graciously accepted my request to them to take on another responsibility from unlocking and locking doors to helping make sure that our Liturgies and funerals come together. The list could go on and on. I am grateful because I will be able to focus on my studies because I know our parishes are in good hands. Many hands coming together to do the work of God. So Thank you!
God’s continued Peace, Fr. Yvon
